Work Details
The brief
BlogBuddy is my own public Shopify app: bulk blog editing and AI SEO, running embedded in the Shopify admin with no API keys or external accounts to set up. I own everything on it as founder and developer: product, code, App Store listing, billing model and support. It holds a 5.0 rating and passed App Store review on the first submission.
The build
The core is a spreadsheet-style bulk editor over a store's entire blog catalog: titles, rich-text bodies, SEO fields, tags, authors and images all inline-editable, with search and filters, batched saves through the GraphQL Admin API, and failed rows flagged for retry so nothing fails silently. On top of that sits the AI layer: per-field optimization or a full-article rewrite that regenerates the SEO title, meta description, excerpt, headline, tags and body in one click, with changed fields highlighted so the merchant always sees what the AI touched.

The result
Beyond editing, it grew into a full content platform. AI topic clusters plan hub-and-spoke internal linking with a visual cluster graph, a content autopilot writes and publishes scheduled articles with AI images, articles convert to audio with selectable voices, CSV import/export handles migrations through Shopify bulk operations, and a Google Search Console integration shows impressions and clicks inside the app. Billing is credit-based with four managed-pricing tiers plus pay-as-you-go overage, capped at $50 a month so a merchant can never get a surprise bill.
